The overall project is based on the analysis of the performance of conventional "sandwich" and "thermal" walls currently positioned on the market and their recognizable deficits. These large-format wall elements, which serve as the basis for panel construction, have only a low insulating effect and would not meet the requirements of the Energy Saving Ordinance for new buildings without the use of integrated insulating materials (core insulation). Organic insulating materials (polystyrene, polyurethane, phenolic resin, etc.) with very low thermal conductivity are primarily used. The aim of the project is to create the basis for the industrial development of improved prefabricated wall elements which, due to their performance, have room-climatic, application-related and economic advantages over existing wall elements.
