Central User Login
At the start at our university, an central user login will be set up for you. This gives you access to the most important IT services-such as:
- WLAN and VPN
- Cloud-storage
- Stud.IP and LSF
- Central printer service
How do I get my access data?
Students:
At the beginning of your studies at the Wismar University of Applied Sciences, you will receive an email with the subject „Willkommen an der Hochschule Wismar“ on your personal e-mail address, which you have specified in your application. In this e-mail there is a link to your personal registration for your user account at the UMS (User Management System) portal of the Wismar University of Applied Sciences.
Tip:
If problems occur, such as: The checkmark for accepting the user regulations cannot be set.
Please use a current Mozilla FireFox browser to complete the registration.
If you receive the error message "The account has expired" when registering, please send an e-mail to the IT support (it-support@hs-wismar.de) of the University of Wismar.
Matriculation number
At the start of your degree programme, you will receive an email with the subject: Sie wurden erfolgreich an der Hochschule Wismar immatrikuliert!
You can then view your matriculation number by logging in to studienportal.hs-wismar.de with the password you have assigned. You will find a large button Studien- und BAföG-Bescheinigungen at the top of the homepage. If you click on this button, you will see an enrolment certificate in which your matriculation number is listed.
Employees:
The access data for employees are requested from the ITSMZ by the respective departments and communicated at the start of work.
At the Faculty of Engineering, the access data is also used for registration:
- on the Windows and Linux computers of the faculty (House 19, House 20 and House 22)
- on the Citrix-portal Neptun Citrix-Portal-Neptun
- on the virtual computers of the FWW (Taurus, Rivera)
At the Faculty of Engineering, the access data is also used for registration:
- on the Windows and Linux computers of the faculty (House 02, House 06, House 16, House 17, House 20 and House 22)
- on the Windows and Linux computers at the Maritime Studies site in Rostock - Warnemünde
- on the virtual computers of the FIW
