New professor for new degree programme

Es ist die Professorin zu sehen, die gemeinsam mit der Ministerin, die neben ihr steht, ihre Ernennungsurkunde in der Hand hält.
Professorin Dr. Anke Bebensee (links) erhielt am 31. März 2025 im Schweriner Wissenschaftsministerium ihre Ernennungsurkunde von der Wissenschaftsministerin Bettina Martin.

Professor Bebensee will teach on the new Bachelor’s Degree Program in Business Psychology (B.Sc.), which starts in the winter semester of 2025, with a focus on personality psychology and diagnostics.

Born in Schleswig-Holstein, the 49-year-old studied psychology with a focus on work and organizational psychology at Kiel University, the University of Portsmouth (UK) and the University of Mannheim. As part of her doctorate in 2020 at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg, she worked on the topic "The explanation of Leadership Behaviour".

With many years of experience in human resources at well-known companies, most recently in the People Development & Culture department at TUI Germany, she has extensive knowledge of employee qualification and management diagnostics. At the same time, she has been teaching on the Business Psychology Program at the West Coast University of Applied Sciences in Heide for the past five years.

Prof Bebensee aims to make her teaching application-oriented and provide students with a vivid insight into the working world of business psychology. Her research focuses on the selection and development of personnel, especially regarding the person-job fit, with particular attention to changes in working environment. She is also intensively involved in the measurement of leadership competences as well as the performance and potential diagnostics.
